So I tried to do a lot of things."

build your collection

Perceval Press: get Viggo's books & available cds directly from his press (don't get ripped off or support those selling them on eBay!)

art data: get Viggo's books & available cds in the UK

It Feeds Itself: by Eric White, one of the upcoming Perceval authors, includes an essay by Viggo -- get it direct & get it signed (by Eric, that is, not Viggo)

John Howe Artbook: in French only, too bad, but much of it is online in English, including Viggo's intro

A Letter to True: a Bruce Weber film journal with a few lovely pics of Viggo

Antisoshal Video: good quality copies of some very rare films -- he's got Gospel According to Harry, Gimlet, Ruby Cairo (the sexier European version of Deception), Salvation! (comes with the great soundtrack), The Reflecting Skin, The Crew & Prison

Amazon.com: most of his movies, new & used (remember to get his books at Perceval Press & -- cautiously -- check Half.com & eBay for other good deals) * if you'd rather not go searching, here's a list:
worth owning:
  • Return of the King: loving the extended edition! ...get all 3
  • Hildalgo: an inspiration for The Horse is Good & Miyelo (not yet released but pre-order & you'll likely get it the day it's due out)
  • A Walk on the Moon: this movie is hotter than Unfaithful y'ask me: sexy Viggo, sexy Diane, sexy Liev... owie! & a happy ending to boot
UPDATE: wanna see a Director's Cut? more Viggo anyone? see brego.net for more info & to add your name to the petition for its release
  • The Indian Runner: yes, he gets naked but that's not why you should watch this film, directed by Sean Penn (his first) & based on a song by the Boss
  • Vanishing Point: a wonderful remake, for tv, of a wonderful movie (with Barry Newman) -- lots of Viggo & lots of beautiful desert land, finally out for the US this March
  • The Passion of Darkly Noon: Viggo & Ashley? very hot * Philip Ridley? brilliant * there are some really gorgeous shots in this movie & Viggo communicates without words better than 'most anybody i know (or don't know, for that matter)...
  • Carlito's Way: a great movie & Viggo's scene is brief but ¡magnífico!
  • A Perfect Murder: lovely beginning features Viggo's own art, making it worth the purchase right there & if you like Gwyneth as Viggo does (he says "she's nice to kiss") then you're set
  • Salvation! you gotta watch the film during which he met Exene! a pretty strange one (often disturbing, occasionally hilarious) but it's got a great soundtrack
  • The Reflecting Skin: Philip Ridley's first -- what's that about the borderline between genius & insanity? there are some stunning moments in this one (hauntingly beautiful & awfully disturbing both), but you might enjoy it just for all the delicious young Viggo shots
worth watching (& maybe owning):
  • Albino Alligator: he's not the only hottie in Kevin Spacey's directorial debut
  • The Prophecy: he makes a fabulous Lucifer & he eats Christopher Walken's heart out (oops, did i ruin that? uh... i meant, he steals his scenes -- a rare feat)
  • G.I. Jane: sexy Viggo, sexy Demi & the story's not too bad either
  • Witness: you've gotta see him in his first movie (after some with deleted scenes) -- he doesn't say much -- with his voice, that is -- but he's a delight to watch
  • American Yakuza: lots of Viggo & lots of action in an entertaining movie
  • The Young Americans: Harvey, Viggo... a fun movie
  • The Portrait of a Lady: her choices (the ones she had & the ones she made) drove me crazy until i was rewarded with a spectacular kiss (no, not the fantasy, though that's nice too)
  • Crimson Tide: okay, i admit it, i have a thing for Gene Hackman too -- a great action movie & Viggo's got a good part
  • Daylight: a Stallone movie where Viggo dies like a Man
  • Gimlet: i admit: i do love a man speaking Spanish but i enjoyed this film for everything Spanish about it & Viggo plays an unlovable role in a lovely way
  • Prison: lots of Viggo, lots of cheese, lots of fun tracking mistakes (like when he gets stuck in solitary starkers & then he works the door open in his tightie-whities) * i slid this movie into the vcr with more of a sense of duty than anticipation & i was delighted with it -- it's a wonderful bad
& if you're really obsessed (hey, i am):
  • Floundering: cameo by Viggo's little family as a homeless family
  • 28 Days: girlie, cheesy movie that i enjoyed anyway -- & not just because Viggo's so hot, but gad he sure is...
  • Boiling Point: a silly boyish movie & i love watching Viggo & Dennis Hopper together
  • Young Guns II: another silly boyish (& fun) movie
  • Tripwire: don't get this one for Viggo because there's not much of him, but the scenery is incredible & the action mildly entertaining
  • Deception: he's yummy but it's a silly movie -- if you want this one, go get the real version (Ruby Cairo) from Antisoshal
  • i can't say on these because i haven't seen them (yet): Psycho, Crew, Fresh Horses & Leatherface
& a few books:
eBay: like i said, don't get ripped off, but it's not a great place to get stuff you just can't find anywhere else!

Half.com: lots of great deals -- just read carefully & beware
